Cat.6 U/UTP Cable – Reliability and Safety in Data Networks

This U/UTP Category 6 cable, manufactured by ALANTEC, is a solid solution for demanding network installations. Construction and properties

The cable consists of four twisted pairs of copper conductors with a cross-section of 23 AWG, separated by a separator, which minimizes the risk of crosstalk. The lack of an external shield makes the cable lighter and easier to install, but requires caution when laying it in places exposed to strong electromagnetic interference. Made of LSOH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) materials, it ensures safety in the event of a fire – it limits the emission of smoke and toxic gases. The B2ca fire reaction class meets strict European standards (EN 50575:2014 + A1:2016 and Regulation (EU) No 305/2011), making it an ideal choice for public buildings and other facilities with increased safety requirements.

Application and compliance with standards

The cable is intended for performing internal horizontal and vertical installations in telecommunication networks and CCTV systems. It meets ISO/IEC 11801, PN-EN 50173 and ANSI/TIA-568 standards, which guarantees compatibility with a wide range of network devices. Thanks to its compliance with the PoE (Power over Ethernet) IEEE 802.3at standard, it enables powering network devices directly through the cable, simplifying installation and reducing costs.
