This 8-fiber OM3 fiber optic cable, designated FOK-U8G-MM-3-B, is a versatile solution for both installers and end users. Construction and properties

The cable has a single-tube construction with 50/125 μm optical fibers, which facilitates processing and splicing during installation. The fibers are protected against moisture by using a water-swelling material and protected against mechanical damage by glass fibers protecting against rodents. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 6.1 mm, and its weight depends on the number of fibers - in this case it fluctuates around 45 kg. The maximum static tensile strength is 1000 N, and the dynamic 2000 N. The minimum bending radius during installation is 50 mm.

The cable is designed to meet the requirements of modern telecommunications and computer networks. It is compatible with FTTx technologies and LAN/WAN networks. The turquoise jacket color makes it easy to identify the cable in installations. The cable meets strict safety standards confirmed by the B2ca euroclass certificate (EN 50575:2014 + A1:2016 and Regulation (EU) No 305/2011). This means that in the event of a fire, the cable does not spread flames, emits minimal smoke and does not release corrosive gases. In addition, the LSOH coating ensures the absence of halogens in the composition, increasing user safety. The cables have been tested in accordance with EN 50399 and EN 60332-1-2 standards. Thanks to this, you can be sure that the installation meets the highest fire safety standards.
