This OM4 fiber optic cable, designated FOK-U24G-MM-4-B, is a versatile solution for building telecommunications and data networks. Designed for both indoor and outdoor installations, it simplifies the installation process and eliminates the need for different cable types in different parts of the network. The construction with a central tube filled with hydrophobic gel and anti-rodent aramid fiber reinforcement ensures reliable data transmission even in harsh conditions.

Additionally, the LSOH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket ensures safety in the event of a fire, minimizing the emission of toxic gases and smoke – it meets the requirements of the B2ca standard and is compliant with regulation CPR 305/2011. Construction and application

The cable is made of 24 multi-mode (MM) optical fibers with a diameter of 50/125 μm, which guarantees high bandwidth and efficient data transmission over shorter distances. It finds application in local telecommunications, computer, backbone, CATV, and FTTx networks. The single-tube construction facilitates cable handling and fiber splicing, resulting in time savings during installation. The fibers are additionally marked with a color code for easy identification.

The use of non-metallic rodent protection makes the cable resistant to mechanical damage caused by animals. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 6.5 mm, and its weight is approximately 45 kg for 24 fibers. The possibility of laying in ducts, conduits, or directly in the ground (in places not exposed to mechanical damage) increases the flexibility of the installation.
