Construction and application

The patch cord is designed for cross-connect connections in distribution points and for subscriber connections – from computer to socket, through connecting switches to patch panels. Its construction based on four twisted pairs of wires (4x2x24/7AWG) with polyethylene insulation guarantees good signal quality. It is worth remembering that the cable does not have shielding (U/UTP), therefore it is recommended to use it away from sources of electromagnetic interference. Thanks to the fact that it is a Category 6A cable, it is backward compatible with lower category elements, which facilitates the modernization of existing networks.

Safety and durability

The LSOH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) coating used minimizes the risk in the event of a fire – it limits smoke emission and does not contain harmful halogens. This is particularly important in public buildings and places with increased safety requirements. Additionally, the cable has been tested for mechanical properties – it withstands a tensile force of up to 80 N and maintains flexibility over a wide temperature range (from -20°C to +60°C during use). It meets the Eca class in the CPR (European class) fire classification system. The cable is compliant with the PoE 802.3af standard, which means it can be used to power network devices through the Ethernet cable itself.
