Patchcord U/UTP cat.5e PVC 0.25m blue ALANTEC KKU5NIE0.25
Universal connection cable for computer networks
This Cat. 5e patch cord from ALANTEC is a reliable solution for building and expanding computer networks. It will work both in home installations and in offices or small businesses. Its compact size (0.25m) makes it ideal for short connections between devices, and the blue color makes it easier to identify in the cabling. The cable is designed for data transmission at speeds up to 1000 Mbps (Gigabit Ethernet), ensuring fast and stable data transfer.
Construction and application
The patch cord is made in U/UTP technology, which means that individual pairs of wires are not shielded, but the entire cable is unshielded. This construction reduces production costs, but requires caution during installation – the cable should be avoided laying near sources of strong electromagnetic interference. The PVC coating provides flexibility and durability, but it should be remembered that in the event of a fire, it releases smoke and halogens. The cable is equipped with stranded conductors with a cross-section of 4x2x26/7AWG, which guarantees good flexibility and easy installation. It is compatible with the PoE (802.3af) standard, allowing you to power network devices via the Ethernet cable.
Advantages and user parameters
- Transmission speed: Supports Gigabit Ethernet (1000 Mbps) – ideal for modern applications requiring high bandwidth.
- Compact size: The length of 0.25m makes the cable ideal for short connections, minimizing clutter and making it easier to organize cabling.
- Easy identification: The blue color makes it easier to distinguish cables in the installation, which speeds up servicing and troubleshooting.
- Flexibility: Stranded conductors ensure easy installation and bending of the cable without the risk of damage.
- PoE compatibility: The ability to power network devices via the Ethernet cable simplifies installation and eliminates the need for additional power supplies.
- Interference resistance: Although unshielded, it meets the requirements of category 5e, providing stable data transmission in typical operating conditions (while maintaining an appropriate distance from sources of interference).
- Class D: Meets the requirements of the ISO/IEC 11801 standard for category 5e (class D), guaranteeing data transmission quality up to 100 MHz (extended to 250 Mhz).
- Temperature range: Operation in the temperature range from -20°C to +60°C ensures reliable operation in various environmental conditions.
- CPR Eca: The Eca fire classification indicates limited smoke emission during a fire – important for the safety of internal installations.
Remember that the maximum length of the installation section (transmission path) should not exceed 90m, and the cross-connect cables connected to the terminations should be no longer than 5m in order to maintain the declared data transmission parameters.
