Telecommunications cable for outdoor applications

This U/UTP category 5e cable is designed for building telecommunications networks outdoors. Thanks to its gel-filled moisture barrier, it is ideal for cable ducts, directly in the ground (in areas not exposed to mechanical damage) and in harsh weather conditions. The cable is manufactured by ALANTEC, known for its high-quality structured cabling solutions.

Construction and parameters

The cable has four twisted pairs of copper conductors with a cross-section of 24 AWG (0.51 mm). The insulation is made of polyethylene, and the outer jacket of UV-resistant PE. The lack of shielding (U/UTP) makes it suitable for installations where the level of electromagnetic interference is not high. Flame retardancy class Fca ensures safety in the event of a fire, allowing the cable to be used in buildings without special fire resistance requirements. The core filled with a hydrophobic gel effectively protects against moisture and corrosion.
