Thermal overload relay – reliable motor protection

The TF42-13 thermal overload relay is an economical and reliable device designed to protect electric motors from overload. It provides a quick response in case of irregularities, protecting sensitive components of the installation. The device is particularly recommended for use with AF09 – AF38 contactors, but can also be mounted directly on a DIN rail using an appropriate mounting kit.

Functionality and application

The TF42-13 relay offers a wide range of current settings (10…13 A), allowing for precise matching to the characteristics of the protected circuit. Class 10 release ensures quick and effective overload protection. It has one normally open (NO) and one normally closed (NC) auxiliary contact, enabling integration with control and signaling systems. Automatic reset after shutdown allows the device to restart after the cause of the failure has been removed, and the manual reset option gives control over the restart process. The relay is temperature compensated, ensuring stable operation in various environmental conditions.
