Atmospheric discharge protection – freestanding insulated mast

This freestanding mast, designed to protect buildings and installations from the effects of atmospheric discharges, is a key element of a lightning protection system. It is ideally suited for situations where maintaining adequate insulation distance from roof elements or electrical devices is difficult.

The mast consists of an aluminum tip, a solid concrete ballast, an insulator, and mounting elements – mats and a wire connector. The materials used – aluminum, fiberglass, and electrolytically galvanized steel – guarantee durability and corrosion resistance, which translates to long-term system reliability. The tripod-based construction provides stability even in harsh weather conditions.

Construction and installation

The 3000 mm high mast is supplied as a complete ready-to-install kit. The concrete ballasts are frost-resistant and do not require additional gluing to the roofing, simplifying installation and ensuring stability in all wind zones. The mast diameter ranges from 10 to 40 mm, and the base diameter is 1430 mm. The total weight of the kit is approximately 79.5 kg. Please note that the high-voltage cable and accessories for its mounting are not included in the kit and must be purchased separately. A detailed wiring diagram for the high-voltage cable can be found in the manufacturer's Instruction No. 20.
