Construction and Application

The ALANTEC Cat.5e F/UTP cable is a four-pair cable with copper conductors of 24 AWG cross-section. The cable core is shielded with a polyester foil coated with aluminum, and additionally secured with a grounding wire. This construction increases resistance to electromagnetic interference and allows the cable to be laid near electrical wires or devices generating noise. The cable is intended for internal horizontal and vertical installations in cable trays, pipes and cable ducts, as well as directly under plaster or in plaster under cement-adhesive mortar for polystyrene and mineral wool. Thanks to its compliance with the PoE+ standard (IEEE 802.3at), it is possible to power devices such as IP cameras, VoIP phones or WiFi access points directly through the network cable – without the need for additional power supplies. The cable length is 305 meters, which facilitates the planning and implementation of larger network projects.
