A device with a nominal diameter DN 250 and a mounting length of 450 mm has been designed for precise measurement of hot water consumption in high-flow systems. Thanks to the use of the turbine (propeller) measurement method, the water meter effectively handles flows up to 1000 m³/h, making it a key component in transmission networks, large industrial facilities, and public utility buildings. The housing, made of cast iron and coated with a specialized paint layer, ensures resistance to corrosion and mechanical damage, which is essential for operation in harsh environmental conditions.

Application and operating conditions

MWN NUBIS water meters are dedicated to installations where the medium temperature can reach up to 130°C. The device operates stably at a maximum working pressure of up to 16 bar (PN16). The rangeability coefficient R25 (Q3/Q1) enables accurate measurement at both high and relatively low flows, which is crucial for billing in district heating systems.

The possibility of installation in various configurations increases installation flexibility:

  • Horizontal installation: permitted with the register facing upward or to the side.
  • Vertical installation: permitted with the register facing to the side.

The flanged connection facilitates integration with existing pipelines of 10 inches (DN 250). The IP65 protection class protects the counting mechanism against dust and water jets, allowing safe operation in locations exposed to moisture or direct exposure to external factors.

Functionality and integration with remote reading systems

The modern design of this model enables easy expansion with communication modules. As standard, the device is equipped with a six-drum register prepared for the installation of communication overlays or transmitters. This allows for remote data reading without the need for physical access to the meter.
