Armaflex AF Thermal Insulation – Flexibility and Protection in One

Armaflex AF is a high-quality, flexible thermal insulation with a closed-cell structure, designed for a wide range of applications. This material is distinguished by its exceptional resistance to water vapor diffusion (µ = 10,000) and very low thermal conductivity (λ = 0.033 W/(m·K)), which translates to energy efficiency and prevention of condensation. Additionally, the built-in Microban® antibacterial protection prevents the growth of fungi, mold, and microorganisms, which is particularly important in ventilation and air conditioning installations in public buildings – schools, hospitals, or offices.

Properties and Applications

Armaflex AF insulation is used for insulation and protection of pipes, ventilation ducts, and tanks (including fittings and valves) in refrigeration and air conditioning systems. It will work both in industry and in commercial buildings. Thanks to its properties, it also reduces material noise on water and sewage installations. The self-adhesive version (AF-10MM/EA) simplifies installation and ensures the tightness of connections. The material complies with PN-EN 14304 and EN 13172 procedures, confirming its quality and safety.

Safety and Technical Parameters

Armaflex AF is characterized by high fire parameters – reaction to fire class B and smoke emission class s3, d0. This means that the material is flame retardant and limits the release of toxic substances in the event of a fire. The high flexibility of the material allows for easy adaptation to complex shapes of installations, minimizing the risk of thermal bridges. Additionally, thanks to its closed-cell structure, the insulation does not absorb water, maintaining its insulating properties even in humid conditions.
