Effective thermal and acoustic insulation of pipelines

SteinWolle ALU insulation wrap is a proven way to reduce heat loss and noise in installations. Made of high-quality rock wool, coated with reinforced aluminum foil, it provides reliable thermal protection for central heating pipelines, hot and cold water pipes, and ventilation ducts. The product is available in 1-meter lengths, making it easy to adapt to specific needs. The round shape of the wrap and a slit on one side significantly simplify installation.

Properties and application

SteinWolle ALU insulation wrap is widely used in residential buildings, as well as in public and industrial facilities. Thanks to its insulating properties, it allows maintaining the optimal temperature of the medium in the pipelines, which translates into energy savings and reduced operating costs. Additionally, rock wool effectively dampens sounds, improving the acoustic comfort of rooms. A self-adhesive tab facilitates a tight connection of successive sections of insulation.

Safety and parameters

SteinWolle ALU is characterized by a high level of safety. It has a fire class of A2L-s1, d0, which means it is a non-combustible material and limits the spread of fire. The maximum temperature of the medium at which the wrap can be used is +250°C. Thermal conductivity λ for temperature θm = 40°C is ≤ 0.037 for wraps with a thickness of 20-40 mm and ≤ 0.038 for wraps with a thickness of over 40 mm. This material also exhibits acoustic insulation properties. The smoke emission class is s1 and the class of formation of flaming droplets and/or sparks is d0 – confirming its high fire safety parameters.
