Thermal and acoustic insulation for pipelines SteinWolle ALU
SteinWolle ALU insulation wrap made of rock wool, covered with a layer of aluminum foil reinforced with a mesh, is an effective solution for thermal and acoustic insulation of installations. The product is designed for use in residential, public and industrial buildings. Thanks to its construction and properties, it provides not only thermal comfort, but also reduces noise in heating and sanitary systems.
Properties and application
SteinWolle ALU wrap is widely used in the insulation of central heating pipelines, hot and cold water, and ventilation ducts. The self-adhesive tab facilitates installation and ensures a tight seal. A slit on one side allows for flexible adjustment to pipes of different diameters. Rock wool is characterized by low thermal conductivity, which minimizes energy losses and reduces operating costs. In addition, this material exhibits good sound-absorbing properties, improving the comfort of use of the premises.
- Thermal insulation: Reduction of heat loss in heating and cooling systems.
- Acoustic insulation: Reduction of noise from installations.
- Easy installation: Self-adhesive tab speeds up and simplifies the installation process.
- Flexibility: Slit allows adjustment to different pipe diameters.
- Safety: Fire class A2L-s1, d0 provides a high level of fire safety.
- Wide application: Ideal for insulating CH, DHW, ventilation and air conditioning pipelines.
Parameters and standards
SteinWolle ALU meets high standards of quality and safety. It has a fire class of A2L-s1, d0, which means limited flammability and no emission of smoke or burning droplets during a fire. The maximum working medium temperature is +250°C. Thermal conductivity λ for temperature θm = 40°C is ≤ 0.037 W/(m·K) for wraps with a thickness of 20-40 mm and ≤ 0.038 W/(m·K) for wraps with a thickness of over 40 mm. The density of the rock wool is in the range of 80-100 kg/m³. The material is compliant with European standards regarding safety and environmental protection.
