SteinWolle ALU pipe insulation – effective protection for pipelines
SteinWolle ALU pipe insulation is a proven way to protect installations from heat loss and condensation. Made of high-quality rock wool, covered with aluminum foil reinforced with a mesh, it provides effective thermal and acoustic insulation. The product is particularly recommended for insulating central heating pipelines, hot and cold water pipes, and ventilation ducts – both in residential and industrial buildings. Available in sections of 1 meter in length, it facilitates precise adaptation to the needs of a specific installation.
Properties and application
SteinWolle ALU stands out not only for its insulating properties but also for its high fire class A2L-s1, d0, which guarantees safety of use. It can be used in systems with a maximum medium temperature of +250°C. A slit on one side and a self-adhesive tab facilitate installation and ensure a tight seal. Thanks to its low thermal conductivity (≤ 0.037 W/(m·K) for a thickness of 20-40 mm), the insulation minimizes energy losses and reduces the operating costs of the heating system. Additionally, the material is characterized by good sound insulation, reducing the noise of the flowing medium.
Key product features
- High insulation efficiency: Rock wool effectively retains heat and protects against overheating or freezing of pipelines.
- Safety: Fire class A2L-s1, d0 provides fire resistance and limits the spread of flames.
- Easy installation: Self-adhesive tab and slit facilitate quick and precise fitting of the insulation to the pipe.
- Versatility: Can be used in various types of installations – central heating, hot water, air conditioning or ventilation.
- Durability: Aluminum foil protects the rock wool from moisture and mechanical damage, ensuring long-term protection of the installation.
- Self-adhesive mounting: Eliminates the need for additional fixing materials – saving time and installation costs.
- Material: Made of rock wool - a material commonly used in insulation due to its thermal and acoustic properties.
