Heat recovery ventilation unit – AUROS 405

The AUROS 405 recuperator is an advanced device designed for efficient heat recovery ventilation in residential and commercial buildings. Designed by Awenta, this model combines high performance, energy efficiency, and user comfort. The left-hand version (VER405L) provides installation flexibility and easy integration with existing infrastructure.

Efficiency and performance

The AUROS 405 is characterized by a high heat recovery efficiency of up to 95%. This translates to significant energy savings related to heating, especially during the winter. The unit's performance is 430 m³/h at a pressure of 100 Pa, allowing for effective air exchange in medium-sized rooms. The use of energy-saving fans with EC Ziehl-Abegg motors minimizes electricity consumption. Additionally, an automatic bypass allows for 100% bypassing of the heat exchanger, which is useful in periods when recuperation is not required – e.g., in summer when we only want to provide cool air.

Construction and application

The AUROS 405 unit is designed for easy installation and maintenance. The possibility of wall mounting (wall bracket included) or floor mounting (VKNER legs available separately) provides a great deal of freedom in choosing the location. Rotatable connection elbows (360°) facilitate connection to ventilation ducts, regardless of their arrangement. The housing made of EPP (expanded polypropylene) provides excellent sound and thermal insulation as well as high resistance to mechanical damage. The device is equipped with a modulating pre-heater with a maximum power of 2000W, which allows for additional heating of the supply air during the winter. The diameter of the air connection spigots is Ø160 mm, and the condensate drain – 32 mm.

Additional functions and expansion possibilities

The AUROS 405 recuperator offers a wide range of expansion and customization options to meet the individual needs of the user. The possibility of using fine filters F7/ISO ePM1 with an increased filtration class ensures even better air quality in the rooms. A pre-filter is also available, which can be reused multiple times, reducing operating costs. The device can work with the air quality sensor VACS-1 and the carbon dioxide and humidity sensor VSHC, which allows for automatic control of the recuperator's operation depending on the current conditions in the rooms. Additionally, wireless control is possible using the iNext module.
