Magnesium anode 21x510 3/4" 22171
Corrosion protection for your DHW tank
A magnesium anode is a key element protecting storage water heaters from corrosion. Its operation is based on a simple principle: magnesium, being a chemically more active metal than the tank steel, corrodes instead of it. Therefore, in the event of micro-cracks in the tank enamel, the anode dissolves, protecting the structure from damage and extending its lifespan. This solution is particularly important in installations with chemically aggressive water composition.
The magnesium anode 21x510 with a 3/4" thread is a standard solution dedicated to many popular BIAWAR heater models, but also compatible with other brands with similar connection dimensions. Its dimensions (diameter 21 mm, length 510 mm) provide an adequate active surface and a long protection period. The net weight of the anode is 0.41 kg.
Installation and replacement – simple protection
Replacing the magnesium anode is a relatively simple operation and does not require specialized tools. It is recommended to regularly check the condition of the anode (at least once a year) and replace it with a new one when it is significantly worn – i.e. when its diameter is clearly reduced. Remember that the anode is consumed during operation, protecting your tank! Regular replacement guarantees long-term corrosion protection and avoids costly repairs.
The application of the magnesium anode is wide and includes, among others:
- OW-E 120.12 L/P
- W-E 120.24 PLUS
- W-E W-E 120.24 PLUS
- W-E 140.24 PLUS
- W-E 140.24S
- W-E 100.81
Thanks to the use of this anode, you can enjoy trouble-free operation of your water heater for many years, saving time and money on repairs and device replacement.
