Single-jet dry-running water meter with anti-magnetic protection and remote reading capability

The GSD8-RFM water meter is designed for precise measurement of cold water consumption in residential and building installations. Its design is based on a dry-running mechanism that eliminates contact between the impeller and the counter—significantly extending the device’s lifespan and ensuring stable measurements even at low flow rates.

The mechanism is driven by a reinforced four-pole magnetic coupling that not only prevents slippage and disconnection but also maintains the impeller in a hydro-magnetic balance—ensuring high measurement accuracy even at minimal flows. The counter bearing incorporates a sapphire stone, which enhances metrological sensitivity and reduces wear on moving parts.

The counter is eight-digit and rotates 360°, facilitating both manual and remote reading. The meter is equipped with an anti-magnetic ring that effectively protects against interference caused by external magnetic fields—an essential feature in today’s environment, where intentional measurement tampering is increasing.

The male thread connection GZ 3/4" allows for easy installation in standard DN15 water supply systems. The meter complies with the MID Directive (2014/32/EU) and has an accuracy class of R100-H / R50-V, meaning it is legally approved for commercial metering. The maximum operating temperature is 50°C—suitable for cold water systems.

The RFM version enables connection to a wireless M-BUS or wired M-BUS radio module—although the meter itself does not include a transmitter, it is pre-equipped for its installation. This provides flexibility: the installer can add the module later without replacing the entire unit. The HYDROLINK system is compatible, simplifying integration with existing remote monitoring solutions.

With a working pressure of up to 16 bar and a length of 110 mm, the meter is suitable for both new installations and retrofits of older networks. Weighing 0.5 kg and with a compact height of 75 mm, it facilitates transport and installation in confined spaces.

The meter has been certified for measuring water intended for human consumption—confirmed by a Hygienic Attestation. No additional calibration is required after installation—it is ready to operate immediately upon connection.
