External hydrant – reliability and safety in one
This above-ground external hydrant HN3 DN100, with a height of 1900 mm and a nominal pressure of PN16, is a solid solution for water intake in both water supply and fire-fighting installations. Made of durable spheroidal graphite cast iron (GJS), it is characterized by high corrosion resistance and mechanical damage resistance. The broken construction, combined with a steel column, provides additional safety – in the event of an impact, the hydrant breaks in a controlled manner, minimizing the risk of serious failure and water leakage.
The hydrant is designed for ease of use and reliability. Double ball closure guarantees tightness and reliable flow shut-off. An automatic column draining device prevents water from freezing inside, which is particularly important in winter. This ensures that the hydrant is ready for operation all year round, without the need for maintenance.
Construction and materials – a guarantee of durability
The HN3 hydrant consists of an upper and lower body made of cast iron (EN GJS 500-7) connected by a steel column (S235JRH/P235TR1). The materials used meet strict European standards (PN-EN), confirming the high quality of workmanship. Internal sealing elements are made of EPDM, ensuring long-lasting tightness. Additional protection in the form of a ball located in the lower part of the lower body increases safety.
The use of a movable flange on the lower body facilitates the positioning of the hydrant during installation, adapting it to specific construction conditions. The entire structure has been designed to provide easy access to elements requiring possible replacement or maintenance (although the hydrant itself is maintenance-free).
Application and compliance with standards
The HN3 hydrant is intended for drawing drinking water and water used for fire-fighting purposes. It will work both in municipal installations and in industrial areas and public utility facilities. It meets the requirements of PN-EN 14384 TYPE C and tightness class A according to EN 12266-1. The key for operating the hydrant should comply with PN-M-74088.
