The Professional series rotary hammer offers an impact energy of 2.6 J, which in practice translates to performance comparable to corded tools, while maintaining full mobility. Thanks to the brushless EC motor, the device not only provides higher power (approximately 50% more compared to older models in this class) but also longer service life and lower energy consumption. This solution is particularly effective for daily assembly tasks, where concrete drilling speed and efficient chiseling are crucial. The user gains control over the process thanks to smooth speed regulation (0–980 rpm) and impact rate adjustment (0–4350/min), allowing work parameters to be adapted to the hardness of the material.

Safety and working comfort

When working with hard materials, protection against sudden drill bit jamming is key. The KickBack Control (KBC) function detects such situations and immediately stops the rotational movement, protecting the operator's wrist from injury. An additional safety element is the Electronic Precision Control (EPC) system, which improves tool control precision. Working comfort is also supported by the Vibration Control system, which reduces vibrations transmitted to the hands, which is essential during longer assembly sessions. The LED lighting located near the tool head eliminates shadows at the drilling site, enabling precise bit positioning even in poorly lit corners or at heights.

Application and system compatibility

The tool is equipped with an SDS-Plus chuck, which allows for quick accessory changes without the use of additional keys. The range of applications includes drilling holes with diameters from 4 to 26 mm in concrete (optimal range is 8–16 mm), as well as working in wood (up to 30 mm) and metal (up to 13 mm). An additional handle and a 210 mm depth stop are included in the set, facilitating the execution of repetitive holes at a constant depth. An important aspect is compatibility with the AMPShare battery platform – the hammer works not only with Bosch Professional 18 V batteries but also with batteries from other brands covered by this system. For users concerned with workplace cleanliness, there is the option to connect the optional GDE 18V-16 Professional dust extraction system with a HEPA filter, which significantly reduces the amount of airborne dust during drilling.

Thanks to its compact design and ergonomic main handle as well as the additional side handle, the tool remains stable even at high torque. The Vario-Lock system allows for any chisel position setting without the need to remove it from the chuck, which accelerates finishing or demolition work. The entire system is supported by Electronic Motor Protection (EMP) electronics, which protects the motor against overload and overheating, extending the device's trouble-free service life.
