Functionality and application

The kit consists of:

• Ball shut-off valve: Standard ball valve with a 1 inch (25 mm) diameter with an internal metric thread, making it easy to install and replace in an existing installation.
• L5 WiFi actuator: Allows remote opening and closing of the valve using the Resideo mobile application. Automatically cuts off the water supply when a leak is detected by the paired sensors.
• Cable sensor (1.5 m): Detects the presence of water along its entire length, allowing early warning of potential leaks in hard-to-reach places.
• Leak and freeze sensor L1 WiFi: Monitors the temperature and humidity of the environment, warning of the risk of freezing pipes or leaks caused by a burst installation.

The system can be expanded with additional cable sensors (up to 150 m) and L1/W1 leak and freeze sensors, creating a comprehensive water installation monitoring network. The IPX4 protection class provides resistance to splashing, which is important in humid environments.
