Fire-resistant band CarboWrap CW-82 – effective protection of installation passages

The CarboWrap CW-82 fire-resistant band is a ready-to-use solution designed to protect installation passages through walls and ceilings. It is specifically designed for plastic pipes with a diameter of up to 82 mm, providing an effective fire barrier. Its construction based on graphite-based expanding inserts enclosed in a PVC layer guarantees high fire resistance and easy installation.

Construction and application – simple solutions for professionals and users

The CarboWrap CW-82 band consists of one or more layers of graphite-based expanding inserts, which ensures its effectiveness in the event of a fire. Installation is extremely simple – just wrap the band around the pipe and cut it to the appropriate length if necessary. After installation, the space between the pipe and the building structure should be filled with mineral wool or cement mortar, which further increases the level of safety. The band can be used in both rigid walls (thickness ≥ 100 mm or 150 mm) and rigid ceilings (thickness ≥ 150 mm). According to ETA-16/0190, the band should be placed centrally in the axis of the wall or 15 ± 5 mm from the bottom of the ceiling.
