Copper-to-gas-thread connection without electrical conductivity

Why CuSn5Zn5Pb2-C bronze?

The material—CuSn5Zn5Pb2-C (CC499K-DW)—is not arbitrary. This alloy offers high resistance to corrosion in water and steam, particularly in heating and refrigeration systems. Unlike pure copper, it does not form copper oxide, and the lead additive facilitates thread machining during production, resulting in a precisely turned, smooth thread—not a “stuck” or filed thread. Installation requires no additional paste or sealant—just the correct wrench and careful tightening.
