Product features
- Simple connector for copper and steel installations
This simple connector from Conex, part of the COMPRESSION series, is a reliable solution for joining pipes in water, heating, air conditioning, and compressed air installations. Made of brass, it ensures durability and corrosion resistance, and the compression design allows for quick and secure installation without soldering. It is suitable for both new installations and repairs or extensions of existing systems.
Construction and application
The connector features a compression ring on one side and a tapered BSPT-R (ISO 7-1 / EN 10226-1) external thread with a diameter of 1/2 inch (15 mm) on the other. This allows it to be easily connected to copper pipes meeting the PN EN 1057 standard and stainless steel pipes according to PN EN 10312 by screwing. The outer diameter of the connection pipe is 18 mm. The unique nut with protrusions ensures a secure crimping of the brass ring, guaranteeing a leak-proof connection.
Advantages and benefits
- Durability and resistance: Made of CW617N or DZR brass, it ensures long-term operation and corrosion resistance, even in harsh conditions.
- Quick installation: The compression design eliminates the need for soldering, which significantly speeds up the installation process and reduces labor costs.
- Tightness: Precise workmanship and the compression system guarantee a tight connection, minimizing the risk of leaks.
- Versatility: The ability to connect copper and steel pipes makes the connector versatile in application.
- Compliance with standards: Conex fittings meet the PN EN 12165 standard, confirming their high quality and safety.
- Easy identification: Marking with the Conex symbol and dimension facilitates product identification on the installation.
For the installer – practical tips
Installing this connector is simple and intuitive. Simply seat the pipe in the connector and then tighten the nut with a wrench of the appropriate size. It is important not to exceed the tightening torque recommended by the manufacturer to avoid damaging the connector or pipe. Remember to check the connection for leaks after completing the installation – this is crucial for the safety of the entire installation!
