Transition fitting for gas installations, compression-type

Fitment made of brass CuSn5Zn5Pb2-C (CC499K-DW), compliant with PN-EN 1982, ensuring corrosion resistance under gas installation conditions—both for natural gas and LPG. The compression sleeve has an outer diameter of 18 mm and is designed for crimping with B-profile jaws, in accordance with PN-EN 1057. The threaded connection is a tapered external BSPT-R thread (ISO 7-1 / EN 10226-1), nominal size 1/2 inch—the standard thread type used for gas installations across Europe.

Sealing is provided by a yellow HNBR O-ring compliant with PN-EN 549, featuring a PI (Press Indicator) function. This means that after crimping, you can visually confirm whether the connection is properly made—if the ring has not moved into position, the joint is not sealed. No additional pressure testing is required—just look.

There are no threads to tighten. The entire connection operates via crimping—no welding, soldering, or additional sealants are needed. This means faster installation, fewer errors, and no risk of leaks due to improperly tightened threads. The installer does not need to worry about torque—only the correct tool and proper jaw profile are required.

Working pressure up to 5 bar, maximum temperature 70°C—these are the limits for gas and compressed air installations. Not suitable for steam systems or high-pressure applications. But for residential gas installations—ideal.
