Equipotential bonding busbar for Ex zones 1/21, 2/22, 7 lug connections 472411
Equipotential bonding busbar for hazardous areas
This non-sparking equipotential bonding busbar is designed for the safe integration of metal wires and conductors in potentially explosive atmospheres. It meets the requirements of VDE 0185-305-3 (IEC 62305-3) and DIN VDE 0100 part 410/540, guaranteeing correct lightning protection, protective and functional equipotential bonding. It is a key element ensuring safety in potentially dangerous industrial environments.
The busbar is intended for use in zones Ex 1 and 2 (gases, vapors, mists) and Ex 21 and 22 (dusts), with explosion group IIC (safety factor 1) according to CLC 50703-2. Temperature class T4 and current-carrying capacity class H (up to 100 kA) ensure reliable protection of the installation. Screw self-loosening protection further increases the safety and durability of the connections.
Application and benefits:
- Versatility: Can be used both indoors and outdoors.
- Safety: Provides effective protection against the effects of lightning strikes and short circuits, minimizing the risk of fire or explosion.
- Durability: Made of stainless steel (1.4301 / 1.4303) and equipped with a UV-resistant polyamide insulator, guaranteeing long-term operation even in harsh conditions.
- Easy installation: Has 7 eye terminals M10 x 20 mm with spring washer, facilitating connection of conductors.
- Compliance with standards: Meets the stringent requirements of DIN EN 62561-1 (VDE 0185-561-1) and CLC 50703-2, confirming its high quality and reliability.
Construction and parameters:
The busbar dimensions are 382 x 140 x 101 mm, and its main part (busbar PA) is made of stainless steel. To ensure optimal conductivity and avoid corrosion, it is recommended to use tinned cable lugs with a nickel locking layer during installation. The maximum surface temperature is T4 (135 °C). Current-carrying capacity class H allows for safe transfer of large short-circuit currents – up to 3.1 kA for Cu conductors with a cross-section of 95 mm² and up to 750 A for Cu conductors with a cross-section of 16 mm². Lightning surge current for Cu conductors with a cross-section of up to 95 mm² is as high as 100 kA.
