Category 6A network cable – reliability and performance in your network

This DIGITUS Category 6A installation cable is a solid solution for demanding network installations. The cable, manufactured using S/FTP technology (twisted pair with foil and braid), provides excellent protection against electromagnetic interference, resulting in a stable and fast connection. This makes it ideal for both horizontal, vertical cabling and campus networks. The cable is supplied on a 100-meter roll and is characterized by a blue color and is foiled to facilitate installation and protection.

Construction and application

The cable is designed with modern data transmission standards in mind, supporting IEEE 802.3an (100Base-T, 1000Base-T, 2.5GBase-T, 5GBase-T, 10GBase-T) protocols and older standards such as IEEE 802.5, ISDN, FDDI or ATM. It meets the requirements of ISO/IEC 11801 (third edition), IEC 61156-5, TIA-568.2-D and EN 50173-1/4 and EN 50288-4-1. It utilizes a solid construction with four twisted pairs of wires (4 x 2 AWG 23/1) which ensures durability and resistance to mechanical damage. The use of LSOH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket increases safety in the event of a fire – it limits the emission of toxic gases during combustion.
