This DIGITUS cat. 8.2 cable, manufactured with S/FTP technology, is a proposal for demanding installers and users planning to build or expand a high-bandwidth network. Designed for use in commercial and residential buildings, it provides reliable data transmission even in the most demanding environments. The cable is supplied on a 500-meter spool in green, which facilitates identification and organization of the cabling.

Construction and parameters for professionals

The cable is characterized by a 4x2 AWG 22/1 construction with a 0.64 mm diameter core made of copper. S/FTP shielding (foil-shielded twisted pair + braid) minimizes electromagnetic interference, guaranteeing a stable signal transmission. A bandwidth of up to 2000 MHz allows achieving data transmission speeds of up to 40 Gbit/s (40GBase-T according to IEEE 802.3). The outer diameter of the cable is 7.9 mm. The cable is compatible with Power over Ethernet (PoE, PoE+, PoE++/4PPoE) technology, allowing network devices to be powered directly through the network cable.

Safety and compliance with standards

The cable meets stringent fire safety standards, achieving class Dca s2 d1 a1 according to EN 50575 (CPR). It is made of LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) materials – halogen-free and flame-retardant, which limits the emission of toxic substances in the event of a fire.
