Diamond core drill bit CS-X / SDS+ 072x70-4xM16 10170085515

Precise drilling for electrical boxes

The DLD CS-X diamond core drill bit with a diameter of 72 mm is a tool designed for electricians and installers creating holes for sockets and electrical boxes. The technology of even diamond distribution within the segments ensures a stable drilling speed throughout the entire work cycle - without the performance drops typical of cheaper core bits with irregular diamond distribution.

The construction based on 4 diamond segments allows for effective penetration of both soft materials such as brick or aerated concrete, as well as hard reinforced concrete. The drill operates in rotary mode only - without impact - which eliminates the risk of micro-cracks in the material and allows for a clean, precise hole with a uniform diameter.

Materials and compatibility

The core bit performs well in reinforced and unreinforced concrete, aerated concrete, autoclaved aerated concrete, solid and perforated brick, as well as ceramics. For mounting, an M16 × SDS+ shank is used, which fits most handheld drills and rotary hammers available on the market. The manufacturer recommends a tool with a power of minimum 650 W - below this value, the core bit may not reach optimal RPMs, which extends drilling time and accelerates segment wear.

The drill is also available in a version with a Magnet adapter, which allows for the rapid removal of the pilot drill after finishing work - without the need to disassemble the entire set. This solution will be appreciated by anyone performing dozens of holes a day who does not want to waste minutes on disassembly.

Operating parameters and usage

Work is performed dry, without the need to connect water cooling. This is a significant feature when installing boxes in finished rooms - it eliminates the problem of flooding adjacent rooms or damaging the facade.

When selecting rotational parameters, one should follow the recommendations of the working tool manufacturer. The rule is simple: the harder the material, the lower the RPM and the greater the pressure. Excessive rotational speed leads to overheating of the segments and shortens the life of the core bit.

In the DISTAR offer, you will find the same CS-X series also in diameters of 68 mm (for smaller boxes) and 82 mm (for deeper or wider holes), allowing you to select the tool precisely according to the specifics of the installation.
