Diamond core drill bit RM-TX 102x300-7x1 1/4 UNC 10170429028
High drilling speed in reinforced concrete - without water cooling
The RM-TX diamond core bit is a tool designed for extremely fast hole drilling in heavy materials in dry mode. When water cooling is impossible or undesirable - for example, when laying cables and pipes in finished rooms - this type of diamond core bit performs best. The design based on turbo segments with oriented diamonds and efficient bonding allows for maintaining a high penetration rate even in the hardest materials.
Construction and diamond segments
The working segments are made of synthetic diamond with an oriented crystalline structure. The orientation of the diamonds in the segment is not random - each one is positioned so that its hardest plane is facing the material being processed. This technological solution significantly increases abrasive resistance and accelerates cutting.
The turbo shape of the segments further increases the efficiency of debris removal. The angular side walls act like an impeller - during rotation, they eject dust and rubble out of the hole, which prevents the core bit from clogging and maintains a constant drilling speed throughout the work cycle.
Application and compatibility
The RM-TX core bit is intended for use on handheld core drills equipped with a micro-hammer function. The micro-hammer provides a series of short impact pulses that assist in penetrating hard concrete - without it, the diamond core bit would work much slower or could jam.
The range of diameters available in the RM-TX series includes core bits from 42 mm to 152 mm, allowing for tool selection for both electrical conduit installation (smaller diameters) and installation pipes (larger diameters). The 1¼" UNC shank is a standard thread used in professional handheld core drills - it fits most holders of this type available on the market.
The product handles both unreinforced concrete and reinforced concrete - which is a material that represents an impassable barrier for standard carbide drills.
Operating parameters and usage conditions
Dry mode means there is no need to connect a water cooling system. This is a significant advantage on construction sites where water access may be limited, as well as during finishing works in rooms already in use - moisture from cooling could damage floors, facades, or existing installations.
However, working without cooling requires proper technique: regular breaks and gently rocking the core bit in the hole to allow dust to flow from under the segments. Neglecting this can lead to overheating of the segments and accelerated wear.
The 300 mm working length allows for making through-holes in standard structural walls without the need for multiple penetrations. For deeper passages, a 450 mm version is also available.
