Characteristics and application

This single-pole circuit breaker with B characteristic is ideal for circuits with low impedance, where inrush currents occur – for example, when switching on electric motors or transformers. The rated current of 25A makes it suitable for protecting typical lighting or socket circuits. The breaking capacity of up to 15 kA (according to IEC 60947-2) guarantees effective disconnection of the circuit in the event of a serious failure.

Construction and mounting

The FAZ-B25/1 circuit breaker occupies only one module width (18mm), which allows for efficient use of space in the distribution board. Mounting is done on a standard TH35 rail. The wire cross-section from 1 to 25 mm² allows connection of wires of different thicknesses, adapting to the requirements of a specific installation. Power losses of only 2.8 W minimize the impact on the energy efficiency of the system. The degree of protection IP20 provides protection against accidental contact, but does not protect against the influence of water or dust – the circuit breaker is intended for installation in dry rooms. The possibility of additional equipment allows expanding the functionality of the circuit breaker, adapting it to specific installation needs.

The FAZ-B25/1 circuit breaker has been designed and manufactured in accordance with applicable safety standards, such as IEC/EN 60947-2 and IEC 60898-1. It has energy limitation class 3 and surge category III, which ensures high resistance to interference and failures. The rated impulse withstand voltage Uimp is as high as 4 kV, which further increases its reliability in difficult working conditions. The device operates in an ambient temperature range from -25°C to 75°C, which allows its use in various climatic conditions.
