The FAZ-C0.5/1 overcurrent circuit breaker is a protective element for the electrical installation against the effects of overloads and short circuits. Designed for mounting on a DIN rail, it provides a quick and effective response in the event of a failure, protecting both devices and the installation itself. The short-circuit breaking capacity of up to 15 kA (at 400V) guarantees safety even in severe conditions.

Characteristics and application

The circuit breaker is characterized by a C tripping characteristic, which means it is ideal for circuits with devices generating inrush currents during start-up – e.g. motors, pumps or transformers. This allows you to avoid unnecessary tripping of the circuit breaker during normal operation of these devices, while ensuring effective protection in the event of a real hazard. The rated current of 0.5A makes it a good choice for protecting circuits with low power consumption, e.g. LED lighting or control systems.
