The FAZ-C16/2-DC circuit breaker is designed to operate in DC systems with a rated voltage of 250V and a rated current of 16A. The C characteristic means that the circuit breaker reacts more slowly to short-term current surges, which is particularly important when connecting devices with motors or other inductive loads that generate high inrush currents. This minimizes the risk of unnecessary tripping of the circuit during normal operation. The rated breaking capacity of 10kA (at 230V and 400V) ensures reliable operation in emergency situations.

User parameters and construction

The circuit breaker has a protection class of IP20, which means protection against touching with a finger and solid objects with a diameter of more than 12.5 mm. The cross-section of the connecting wires can range from 1 mm² to 25 mm², both solid and stranded, providing great flexibility when choosing wires. The contact position indicator (red/green) makes it easy to quickly identify the status of the circuit breaker – whether it is on or off. Additionally, a three-position snap-in slider allows easy removal of the circuit breaker from the sliding assembly without the need to disconnect the wires. Power losses are only 4.2W, which translates to energy efficiency of the installation.
