Residual current circuit breaker type A 2-pole FRCmM-16/2/003-A 170430
Two-pole residual current circuit breaker with a rated current of 16A and type A sensitivity is a safety element protecting the electrical installation from the effects of short circuits and electric shock. The FRCmM-16/2/003-A model from Eaton is designed for mounting on a DIN rail and provides effective protection for people and electrical devices.
Functionality and application
This type A residual current circuit breaker is particularly important in circuits where there is a risk of leakage currents, e.g. in bathrooms, kitchens or outdoors. Its task is to quickly disconnect the power supply in the event of a difference in currents between the phase and neutral conductors, which minimizes the risk of electric shock. Thanks to its locking mechanism, it prevents accidental switching on after being switched off by the protection device.
Characteristics and installation
DIN rail mounting simplifies installation and replacement of the circuit breaker. A width of 2 modules allows for efficient use of space in the distribution box. Designed to operate at temperatures from -25°C to 40°C, making it reliable even in harsh conditions. Made of materials resistant to mechanical damage (IP20 protection class), it ensures long-lasting and safe operation. Wire cross-sections from 1.5 to 35 mm² for solid wires and from 1.5 to 16 mm² for stranded wires provide great flexibility when connecting different types of wires. Short-circuit strength at 10 kA guarantees resistance to overloads and short circuits occurring in electrical installations. The rated impulse withstand voltage Uimp is 4 kV, which further increases safety.
