The T3-1-102/EA/SVB rotary cam switch is a multifunctional device designed for panel mounting in electrical switchboards. Designed in accordance with IEC/EN 60947-3 standards, it serves as a main installation switch as well as an emergency stop switch and service disconnect.

Electrical parameters and application capabilities

The device operates with a rated current of 32A at a voltage of up to 690V AC, offering a switching capacity of 15kW in category AC-23 and 11kW in category AC-3. The rated breaking capacity is 260A at 400/415V, which guarantees safe circuit interruption for high-power loads.

The short-circuit strength of the device is 650A for 1 second (0.65kA), and the conditional short-circuit current reaches 1kA. These parameters ensure adequate protection against the effects of short circuits in industrial installations.

Construction, operating conditions, and regulatory compliance

The switch is constructed as a fixed device for panel mounting with two poles and M4 screw connections. The enclosure provides an IP65 protection rating on the front face and NEMA 12, protecting against dust and moisture.

The red rotary handle with door coupling allows for operation through a closed distribution cabinet door. The yellow locking ring allows the device to be immobilized in the "0" position using a padlock - a key function for the safety of service work. The latching mechanism provides the possibility of locking in the zero position, meeting standard requirements for safe power disconnection during maintenance work.

The device operates in temperatures from -25°C to +50°C (in open mounting) and from -25°C to +40°C in a closed enclosure. The operating frequency reaches 1200 operations per hour, and the mechanical durability is 500,000 operations. Climatic resistance includes operation under constant and cyclic humid heat conditions according to IEC standards, and the device withstands mechanical shocks of 15g according to IEC/EN 60068-2-27.

The switch meets the requirements of IEC/EN 60947 standards and holds CE, UL, and CSA certifications. Compliance with EN ISO 13849-1 confirms the safety parameters of the control functions. Safe disconnection is realized at a voltage of 440V AC between contacts in accordance with EN 61140, and the device is classified in overvoltage category III with pollution degree 3.

Electrical connections are made via screw terminals with a capacity from 14-10 AWG (solid or flexible with ferrules) with a tightening torque of 1.6 Nm.
