Characteristics and application

This three-pole automatic circuit breaker with characteristic C is ideal for protecting circuits with elements with high inrush current – such as motors or transformers. Characteristic C allows for short-term exceeding of the rated current without unnecessary tripping, which is crucial in the case of devices requiring momentary power demand. The rated continuous current of 50A and the high short-circuit breaking capacity of 36kA at 400V, 50Hz ensure the safety and stability of the installation. The device is supplied with a built-in protection, ready for mounting.

Construction and mounting

The LZM1 circuit breaker has a solid, permanently mounted construction. The connection of the main circuits is made using frame terminals, which facilitates and speeds up the assembly. The possibility of optional mounting on a DIN TH rail increases the flexibility of the installation. The degree of protection IP20 provides protection against finger contact and against the ingress of solid objects larger than 12mm. The control lever allows for manual disconnection of the circuit if necessary.

Compatibility and accessories

LZM/LN series circuit breakers are compatible with a wide range of Eaton accessories – remote drives, additional release devices and auxiliary contacts from the RMQ series. This allows you to adapt the circuit breaker to the specific requirements of a given application. A wide range of overload release settings (40-50A) and short-circuit settings (300-500A) allows for precise adjustment of the protection parameters to the protected installation. The device maintains its electrical parameters up to a temperature of 50°C.
