Professional installation contactor for AC load control

The Z-SCH230/63-04 installation contactor is a compact device designed for controlling high-power circuits in residential and commercial installations. With a 230V AC control voltage and a rated current of 63A, it is ideal for applications requiring reliable switching of electrical receivers.

Design and operating parameters

The device features 4 normally closed (NC) contacts without normally open contacts, enabling safe circuit interruption under load. The compact design occupies 3 modules (52.5mm width) with a mounting depth of 60mm, facilitating installation in modular distribution boards on a standard TH35mm rail.

The rated operating voltage is 440V AC, and the control voltage range is between 195.5÷253V. The contactor meets the AC-1 utilization category requirements in accordance with the EN IEC 60947-4-1 standard, ensuring safe operation with resistive loads. The IP40 protection rating protects against finger and hand contact.

Load capacity and performance

The device offers high switching capacities for various types of lighting:

• Incandescent lamps: up to 7740W
• Standard fluorescent lamps: up to 4060VA
• DUO fluorescent lamps: up to 8120VA
• Fluorescent lamps with parallel compensation: up to 2668VA

Power loss is 28W, which, combined with an operating temperature range from -40°C to +60°C, ensures stable operation even in harsh environmental conditions.

Functionality and operational safety

The contactor is equipped with a contact status indicator on the front of the device, allowing for quick status monitoring. Large terminals facilitate the connection of larger cross-section wires, and dampened operating noise ensures quiet operation—particularly important in residential installations.

The construction, made of flame-retardant materials and chlorine- and halogen-free plastics, guarantees fire safety. High contact pressure ensures reliable electrical connections throughout the entire service life.

The device can be used to control lighting, heating systems, air conditioning, heat pumps, as well as gate, door, and roller shutter drives. It meets the requirements of the IEC/EN 60947-4-1 and IEC/EN 61095 standards and is RoHS compliant.
