The Z-SCH230/25-31 installation contactor is a compact electromagnetic device designed for the safe switching of electrical circuits in domestic, commercial, and industrial installations. Thanks to its rated operational current of 25A and a configuration of 3 NO + 1 NC contacts, it is ideal for control systems for lighting, ventilation, pumps, or heaters.

Electrical parameters and load capacities

The device operates at a rated operational voltage of 440V and is powered by a control coil at 230V AC (control range 195.5-253V). It features high load capacity parameters - maximum 3000W for incandescent lamps, 1160VA for standard fluorescent lamps, and up to 2552VA with DUO compensation. For fluorescent lamps with parallel compensation, it is 1044VA.

The AC-1 utilization category according to the EN IEC 60947-4-1 standard guarantees reliable operation with resistive loads. The device consumes 8W of thermal power during operation, which is important when planning distribution board ventilation.

Mechanical design and mounting dimensions

The contactor occupies only 2 modules in a standard modular distribution board, with an installation depth of only 60mm. The device width is 35mm, and its weight is only 0.22kg, making it one of the most compact solutions in its class. Mounting is performed on a standard TH-35 DIN rail using a clip - quickly and without additional mounting elements.

The IP40 protection rating provides basic protection against dust and solid objects larger than 1mm, which is sufficient for operation inside distribution boards. The design allows for additional equipment and status signaling via indicator lights.

Operational safety and operating conditions

The device maintains full functionality across a wide range of ambient temperatures - from -40°C to +60°C, enabling installation in both heated rooms and unheated utility buildings. The materials used in production are flame-retardant and free from chlorine and halogens, increasing the fire safety of the installation.

Large screw terminals allow for secure connections of larger cross-section wires, and high contact pressure ensures minimized energy losses and reduced heating of connections. Noise dampening improves the acoustic comfort of rooms, which is particularly important in offices or residential buildings.

Compliance with RoHS standards confirms the eco-friendly manufacture of the product and the absence of harmful substances. The contactor can operate continuously or be intended for frequent switching operations - the mechanical durability specified by the manufacturer is approximately 100 thousand cycles.
