Main isolating switch – reliable disconnection in the installation

The IS-25/1 isolator is a modular isolating switch designed for the safe disconnection of electrical circuits. Designed by Eaton, it provides effective protection and control over the electrical installation in both residential and commercial buildings. Its compact size (1 module width) allows for easy mounting in distribution boards.

Functionality and parameters

The IS-25/1 switch is characterized by a rated current of 25A and a rated voltage of 240V, making it an ideal solution for protecting circuits with medium power. The rated switching capacity of 12.5kA guarantees high short-circuit resistance, and the short-circuit withstand (Icw) of 1kA ensures stable operation in the event of surge currents. The single-pole design with normally open and normally closed contacts allows for versatile use. The IP40 protection class protects against the ingress of solid objects larger than 1mm, increasing safety.

Installation and application

This isolator is primarily used as an isolating element allowing for the safe disconnection of devices during maintenance or repair. The "arrow" symbol on the housing facilitates identification of the switch function. The installation depth of 69.5 mm allows for easy mounting in standard modular distribution boards. Thanks to the high contact wear resistance, the isolator ensures long-lasting and reliable operation, and the possibility of impulse switching increases its functionality in various applications.
