Professional isolator switch for electrical installations

The HIS-20/2 main isolator switch with a rated current of 20A is a reliable solution for safely disconnecting electrical circuits in single-phase installations. As a 2-pole isolator switch, it enables complete power disconnection, which is crucial during maintenance and service work.

The device operates in an AC system with a rated voltage of 415V, providing effective insulation at a minimum voltage of 240V. A width of 2 modules allows for installation in standard modular distribution boards, and the compact design with a mounting depth of 69.5 mm saves space in the enclosure.

Construction and technical capabilities

A short-circuit withstand strength of 1 kA and a rated breaking capacity of 12.5 kA guarantee safe operation even in fault conditions. The isolator maintains a high continuous current up to 125A, which exceeds its rated current and provides additional power reserve.

Robust screw terminals adapted for conductors with a cross-section up to 50mm² enable the secure connection of even thick power cables. The design features 2 making contacts, which ensure full separation of both phase conductors during disconnection.

The graphic arrow symbol on the front of the device clearly indicates the switching function, facilitating identification during operation.

Operational and service safety

The IP40 protection rating protects against finger access to hazardous parts and against access by a wire with a diameter greater than 1mm. Although it does not have an indicator light, its clear "ON/OFF" position provides certainty regarding the connection status.

A key safety feature is the possibility of locking the switching mechanism with a padlock. This function prevents accidental switching during service work, meeting OHS requirements for work on electrical installations.

The lack of forced separation according to DIN VDE 0113 does not limit its application in standard building installations, where the natural separation provided by the isolator's construction is sufficient.

Thanks to standard modular dimensions, the device is compatible with most distribution boards available on the market, enabling easy modernization of existing installations or the construction of new power systems.
