Overcurrent circuit breaker with residual current device 1+N-pole PKNM-25/1N/B/003-MW 236265
Residual Current Breaker with Overcurrent Protection (RCBO) PKNM-25/1N/B/003-MW is a reliable protection for electrical installations, combining the functions of an overcurrent circuit breaker and a residual current device (RCD). It is a device that can be used in both home, commercial, and industrial installations – including photovoltaic systems.
Protection and safety
This two-pole (1P+N) circuit breaker with a rated current of 25A, characterized by a B characteristic, provides a quick response to overloads and short circuits. The B characteristic means that the circuit breaker reacts quickly to an increase in current, which is especially important for circuits with devices with high inrush current. Additionally, the built-in residual current module with a sensitivity of 30mA (0.03A) protects against electric shock by detecting current leakage to ground. This ensures comprehensive safety when using the electrical installation.
Installation and parameters
The circuit breaker is designed for mounting on a TH35 rail, occupying a width of 2 modules. Its embedding depth is 70 mm. It accepts solid and stranded wire cross-sections from 1 to 25 mm², which provides great flexibility when connecting different types of cables. The device meets the EN 61009-1 standards and has energy limitation class 3 and protection degree IP20 – which means protection against touching with a finger and solid objects larger than 12.5 mm. The rated insulation voltage Ui is 440V and the rated impulse withstand voltage Uimp is 4kV. The circuit breaker is designed to operate at temperatures from -25°C to +40°C.
Key features
- Combined function: One device provides both overcurrent and shock protection.
- High breaking capacity: The rated short-circuit breaking capacity Icn is 10 kA, which guarantees effective disconnection of the circuit in the event of a short circuit.
- AC type: Sensitivity to sinusoidal current (AC type) makes the circuit breaker suitable for protection against alternating current leakage.
- Two-pole with N: Simultaneous disconnection of the N pole increases user safety.
- Wide range of wire cross-sections: The ability to connect wires with a cross-section from 1 to 25 mm² simplifies installation and adaptation to different installations.
