This two-pole circuit breaker combines overcurrent and residual current protection, providing comprehensive protection for the electrical installation and user safety. It is a key element of any modern installation, protecting against the effects of overloads, short circuits and electric shock. Model PKNM-6/1N/C/003-MW, with a rated current of 6A, is ideal for circuits with lower loads, such as lighting or sockets in living spaces.

Features and application

This circuit breaker is characterized by a C characteristic, which means that it allows for short-term exceeding of the rated current without tripping – this is particularly important when connecting devices with electric motors or other loads generating high starting current. The residual current protection with a sensitivity of 30mA (0.03A) effectively detects leakage currents to earth and immediately disconnects the power supply, minimizing the risk of electric shock. Two-pole disconnection with simultaneous disconnection of the N pole provides complete protection against dangerous situations.

The circuit breaker has been designed and manufactured in accordance with applicable safety standards (EN 61009). Its withstand voltage to impulse voltages up to 4kV and short-circuit breaking capacity up to 10kA guarantee reliable operation even in difficult operating conditions. The conductor cross-section from 1mm² to 25mm² allows connection of a wide range of installation cables. The degree of protection IP20 provides protection against accidental contact, but does not protect against the effects of water or dust – therefore, the circuit breaker should be mounted in dry and closed rooms. The operating temperature from -25°C to +40°C allows it to be used in various climatic conditions.
