The BPZ-KB-10/175 modular terminal block is a high-quality component of the Eaton xEnergy Basic system, designed for professional low-voltage electrical installations. The single-pole design with a rated current of 175A ensures reliable connections in Profi+ series surface-mounted and flush-mounted switchgear.

Construction and materials

The block is made of high-quality PA66 (polyamide), which features a heat deflection temperature of 100°C and a UL94 V-0 flame rating, guaranteeing the highest level of fire safety. The light gray housing (RAL 7035) provides a professional appearance for the installation.

The terminals are made of flat brass, ensuring optimal electrical conductivity and connection durability. The design allows for mounting in a universal position—both on a DIN rail and via screw—giving installers maximum flexibility during assembly.

The IP20 protection rating protects against accidental contact with live parts while simultaneously providing easy access to the terminals during installation and service work.

Electrical parameters and connection capabilities

The device supports a wide range of conductor cross-sections—from 2,5 mm² to 70 mm²—for both flexible conductors (with ferrule ends) and rigid conductors (single-wire and multi-wire). Eleven terminals per pole allow for the creation of diverse connection configurations.

Electrical parameters include a maximum AC voltage of 1000V (IEC) and DC 1500V, allowing for use in demanding industrial applications. Short-circuit withstand strength is 30 kA for peak current and 11 kA for short-time withstand current, ensuring safety even in the event of a fault.

The tightening torque is 6-10 Nm for supply conductors and 3-4 Nm for output conductors, guaranteeing optimal pressure without the risk of damaging the wire.

Regulatory compliance and operating conditions

The terminal block meets the rigorous requirements of international standards—IEC 60947-7-1 and UL 1059—confirming the highest standards of safety and manufacturing quality. The product is fully compliant with the RoHS directive, containing no substances harmful to the environment.

A Comparative Tracking Index (CTI) of 600V provides excellent resistance to electrical tracking between conductive paths. The design is intended for operation at temperatures specified by the PA66 material parameters, maintaining mechanical and electrical stability under typical installation conditions.
