The BPZ-KB-11/250 modular terminal block is a professional solution for the safe and efficient distribution of electrical power in installations with high load requirements. Designed by Eaton as part of the xEnergy Basic system, it offers reliable connections for circuits with a rated current of up to 250A.
Design and materials ensuring durability
The PA66 (polyamide) housing features a heat deflection temperature of 100°C and a UL94 V-0 flammability rating, guaranteeing safety even in challenging thermal conditions. The brass terminals ensure optimal electrical conductivity and long-term connection stability.
The compact design, with dimensions of 44.5 × 49 × 95.4 mm, allows for space savings in switchboards while accommodating 12 terminal positions per pole. The universal mounting position and the possibility of installation on a DIN rail or base plate make the product flexible in application.
Electrical parameters and operational safety
The device operates at a maximum voltage of 1000V AC (IEC) or 1500V DC, supporting a rated current of 250A. The short-circuit withstand strength is 21 kA (for 1 second), and the peak withstand current reaches 51 kA, ensuring a high level of installation safety.
The IP10 protection rating protects against accidental contact with live parts while allowing free ventilation of the device. The creepage distance index of 600V according to IEC standards guarantees resistance to surface tracking.
Connection flexibility and compatibility
The block supports a wide range of conductor cross-sections:
- Rigid single-wire/multi-wire conductors: 2.5-120 mm²
- Flexible conductors with ferrule ends: 2.5-95 mm²
- Dedicated inputs for main conductors (35-120 mm²) and circuit outputs (2.5-35 mm²)
The tightening torque is 19-21 Nm for main inputs and 2-7 Nm for circuit outputs, respectively, enabling optimal connection of different conductor types while maintaining electrical parameters.
The product meets the requirements of IEC 60 947-7-1, UL 1059 standards, and the RoHS directive, confirming its compliance with international safety and environmental protection standards.
