Motor protection in a compact housing

This EATON ZE-0.4 overload relay is a reliable protection for electric motors, designed for direct mounting in DILE(E)M series contactors. The device effectively protects the motor against the effects of overload and phase failure, meeting the standards of IEC/EN 60947 and VDE0660 T.102. Thanks to its compact size, it is ideal for applications where space is limited, as well as in modular enclosures.

Functionality and application

The relay is designed to protect motors with a rated current in the range of 0.24 – 0.4 A. It has one normally open (1NO) and one normally closed (1NC) auxiliary contact, allowing integration with signaling and control systems. Automatic and manual reset simplifies restoring operation after a shutdown caused by an overload. Release class 10A ensures a quick response to current increase, minimizing the risk of motor damage. It finds application in controlling small production machines, conveyors and in building automation.

Installation comfort and durability

Direct mounting simplifies installation and saves space in the control cabinet. Screw connection of the main circuit ensures a secure and durable electrical contact. The relay is adapted for use in installations with a voltage of up to 690V and has a degree of protection IP20 - protection against contact with fingers according to EN50274 with vertical operation from the front. The device is approved for use on ships and is suitable for protecting EEx motors. The solid construction guarantees a long service life and reliable operation in demanding industrial conditions.
