This RC protective circuit, designed to work with Eaton DILM7..15 and DILM12 series contactors, provides additional safety and reliability for electrical installations. It is a plug-in protective connection that effectively suppresses interference and overvoltages, protecting connected devices.

Application and functions

The RC (Resistor-Capacitor) circuit acts as a damping element, reducing the negative impact of the contactor coil inductance during switching off. This limits the formation of electric arcs on the contacts, which extends their lifespan and minimizes the risk of damage. Compatibility and parameters

The circuit is dedicated to contactors with a coil powered by alternating current with a value of 110-240V (50/60 Hz). Please note that contactors with a DC coil and models DILM115, DILM150 and DILMP125-DILMP200 have a built-in RC protection – in these cases, using an additional circuit is not necessary. It is worth paying attention to the contactor drop-out time when using this circuit.

Mounting and installation

The RC circuit is mounted by plugging it into the appropriate place in the contactor circuit. Simple installation makes it a solution easy to implement for both professional installers and people with experience in electrical work. The lack of an LED indicator does not affect its functionality – the circuit operates passively, suppressing interference without the need for visual status control.
