Overcurrent circuit breaker from the FAZ-NA series is a reliable protection for electrical installations, designed for both home and commercial use. This two-pole circuit breaker with a rated current of 15A and C characteristic effectively protects circuits against overload and short circuit. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity of 15kA (at 230V and 400V) guarantees safety even in the event of large voltage surges.
Protection and functionality
The C characteristic means that the circuit breaker reacts more slowly to short-term current surges, which is particularly important when connecting devices with motors or other elements generating high starting current – such as pumps or air conditioners. This avoids unnecessary tripping of the circuit during normal operation of these devices. The FAZ-NA circuit breaker meets the requirements of overvoltage category III and pollution degree 2, making it suitable for most standard electrical installations. Energy limitation class 3 provides additional safety in the event of an electric arc.
Installation and compatibility
The circuit breaker occupies two module widths, making it easy to install in electrical distribution boards. It accepts solid and stranded wires with a cross-section from 1 to 25 mm², providing flexibility in wire selection. Designed to operate in temperatures from -25°C to 75°C, it will perform well in various environmental conditions. The IP20 degree of protection protects against finger contact, but does not provide protection against water or dust – therefore, the circuit breaker should be mounted in a distribution box enclosure. The possibility of using additional equipment allows for expanding the functionality of the protection system. The rated insulation voltage Ui is 440V and the rated impulse withstand voltage Uimp is 4kV.
