Surface-mounted enclosure for distribution boards – robustness and functionality

This surface-mounted enclosure 4XN160 2-6 is a reliable solution for mounting and protecting electrical installations. Made of steel with powder coating, it ensures durability and corrosion resistance. Its grey color (RAL 7035) blends well with most environments. The enclosure is designed for surface mounting and offers an IP41 protection rating, which protects against the ingress of solid objects larger than 1mm and against accidental contact with live parts. Thanks to protection class I, it ensures safe use by connecting all conductive parts to the grounding system.

Construction and adaptability

The enclosure with dimensions 550x950x160 mm offers space for as many as 144 modules (24 modules in six rows), allowing for the installation of extensive electrical systems. It is equipped with four holes for flanges, making it easier to install additional components. The enclosure door has patent locks (key code 1333), ensuring secure access to the interior. The possibility of door reversal left/right increases installation flexibility in various configurations. As standard, the enclosure has cable membrane glands and plastic plugs for openings from below. The rear wall made of galvanized steel sheet allows easy routing of cables even after the inserts have been mounted.

Safety and compliance with standards

The enclosure meets the requirements of the IK10 standard, which means high resistance to mechanical impact. Compliance with the RoHS directive guarantees the absence of harmful substances in its composition. The rated current of the enclosure is 250A, making it suitable for use in installations with medium and high power. Thanks to the conductive parts of the structure, the enclosure ensures the continuity of electrical connections of the protective circuit, increasing the safety of the entire installation. Additionally, the internal frame contains M6 nuts for mounting brackets and connecting the protective conductor.
