Knife fuse links – reliable installation protection
Knife fuse links NH are a proven element of electrical protection, protecting against the effects of short circuits and overloads. The design and parameters of these fuse links comply with the standards PN-93/E-06160 (gF), PN-IEC-269 and VDE 0636, which guarantees their reliable operation in various conditions. The offered model NH2 gG 35A/500V is a time-delay fuse link, designed to protect circuits requiring tolerance to short-term current surges, e.g. during motor starting.
Design and characteristic features
The fuse link is made of high-quality materials – a steatite body provides thermal stability, and silver-plated knife contacts guarantee good electrical contact and minimize voltage drop. The fuse link is filled with quartz sand of special granulation, which translates into a high short-circuit breaking capacity (up to 120 kA) and stable electrical parameters over time.
Particular attention is paid to the double operating indicator – a red eye in the central part of the ceramic body and a springy plate on the upper cover. This solution ensures easy and reliable visual identification of a blown fuse link, both in fuse bases and in disconnectors. Additionally, the indicator on the upper cover allows cooperation with the NVS 5 microswitch for remote signaling of operation.
Application and benefits
NH fuse links are widely used in industrial installations, public buildings and wherever reliable protection against overloads and short circuits is required. By choosing this model (35A/500V), you gain:
- Effective protection of the electrical installation against damage caused by short circuits and overloads.
- High short-circuit breaking capacity (120 kA) – ensures safety even in the event of serious failures.
- Double operating indicator – facilitates quick identification of a blown fuse link and minimizes installation downtime.
- Remote signaling capability – thanks to compatibility with the NVS 5 microswitch.
- Production in the EU – a guarantee of quality and compliance with European standards.
- gG characteristic - provides protection against overload and short circuit, ideal for general use.
It is worth remembering the possibility of using insulated handles (NH…/I…) for additional safety during installation and replacement of fuse links.
