Power Factor Correction Capacitors – a reliable solution for your installation

LPC capacitors are components designed for effective reactive power compensation in electrical installations. They are used both in individual loads (transformers, motors, rectifiers, lighting) and in automatic capacitor bank systems. Using LPC capacitors allows you to reduce electricity costs and improve network efficiency.

Design and application

LPC capacitors with an internal ∆ connection are made of low-loss, self-healing polypropylene film. The dry construction filled with environmentally friendly polypropylene resin provides excellent heat dissipation properties and long-term reliability. Aluminum housings are equipped with overpressure disconnectors, protecting against damage caused by overloads. Two types of connections are available: connector (faston) for capacitors up to 5 kVAr and screw for higher powers. Mounting is possible both in a vertical and horizontal position (in the case of horizontal mounting, additional securing of the mounting screw is recommended).

• Safety: Built-in discharge resistors reduce the voltage at the terminals to a safe level (75V) within a maximum of 3 minutes after disconnection from the power supply – in accordance with PN-EN-61048, PN-EN-60252 and EN-60831-1/2 standards.
• Overload protection: The internal overpressure disconnector disconnects the capacitor from the network in the event of exceeding the permissible parameters, protecting the remaining elements of the installation.

• Versatility: A wide range of rated power (from 1 to 50 kVAr) and the availability of different rated voltages (400 V, 440 V, 460 V, 480 V, 525 V) allow you to match the capacitor to specific needs.
• Grounding: The bottom screw provides grounding of the capacitor housing and enables its stable mounting.

This LPC model with a capacitance of 15 µF and a rated voltage of 460V at a frequency of 50Hz is ideal for applications requiring reactive power compensation in industrial and commercial networks.
