The ETIMAT 6 circuit breaker with B characteristic is designed to protect electrical circuits against overload and short-circuit currents. Characteristic B means that the circuit breaker reacts quickly to an increase in current, which is particularly important in circuits with receivers with a high starting current, e.g. motors. The rated current of 6A makes it ideal for protecting lighting, sockets and other devices with low power consumption. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity of 6kA at 230/400V ensures effective disconnection of the circuit in the event of a failure.

Construction and mounting

The ETIMAT 6 circuit breaker is characterized by a compact design – it occupies only one module on a TH35 rail. This allows for easy installation and saving space in the switchgear cabinet. The possibility of connecting wires with a cross-section from 1 to 25 mm² provides flexibility when choosing the appropriate power cable. In addition, the circuit breaker has a degree of protection of IP20, which means protection against touching with a finger and against the ingress of solid objects larger than 12.5 mm. This allows it to be used in various environmental conditions (ambient temperature from -25°C to +55°C). The possibility of power supply from above or below and the double connection of the insulating busbar further facilitate installation and configuration. The contact position indicator allows for quick visual control of the circuit breaker status.
